Examining the intersections of environment, social conditions, and health:  Dr. Amy Kind, Dr. Barbara Bendlin, and Dr. Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi launch Center for Health Disparities Research

Dr. Kind, Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi, and Dr. Bendlin launched the CHDR in April with research goals of understanding some of the root causes of health disparities and identifying new interventions. The first project of the CHDR is “The Neighborhood Study”, led by Dr. Kind and Dr. Bendlin, which will study how social determinants in a person’s life affect their brain health.
